w a n d e r e r s: Seek Jesus.
"All of us like sheep have gone astray, Each of us has turned to his own way; But the LORD has caused the iniquity of us all To fall on Him." -Isaiah 53:6
W A N D E R E R S.
this is for you.
Jesus calls us the sheep and He is the shepherd. Sometimes us sheep get led away from Jesus by all of the worldly desires like popularity, wealth, and relationships. When we try to find joy in those things, we are left empty and lost. How many times does your mind wander away from what Jesus truly thinks of you? Well, mine does at least 50 times a day and maybe more. When that girl post that really cute outfit on Instagram or that couple just looked so happy, I begin to doubt my own worth. I wander away from the truth.
"Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour." 1 Peter 5:8
One of the biggest lies the devil will tell us is that we are not as close to God as we use to be, but in all reality God is always with us, he is just wanting us to pursue Him. During our everyday lives, the devil will constantly feed us lies and make us WONDER our value or importance. Whenever this happens, our minds steer off their original course that God created. We have to ask ourselves, "Are these thoughts I am having from God or from the enemy?" If we stop and separate the Godly thoughts from the worldly thoughts, we begin to understand what God truly intends for us and how the devil is trying to drag us away from God's plans.
When God first spoke to me about this blog post, I was not quite sure where he wanted me to go with it. I knew that I always wandered away from His truth, but never understood what "truth" I was listening to. The devil will make us believe certain lies about ourselves so he can set us further apart from God. That is when I fully understood the meaning behind Jeremiah 29:13.
Jeremiah 29:13 says, "You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart."
Just as soon as I began to seek Him with everything, I knew how to discern between the truths and the lies, and I saw God's true intention for this blog. I guess my whole point in sharing this post with you all, is so you understand Jesus willingly gave His life for US, so that we wouldn't have to wanderalone. Better said in Matthew 18:12, "What do you think? If a man owns a hundred sheep, and one of them WANDERS away, will he not leave the ninety-nine on the hills and go to look for the one who wandered off?" Just as Jesus wants us to pursue Him, He would travel to great depths to pursue us.
So next time you see that raving bathing suit bod, cute couple, or that super nice house on Instagram, and question your worth. Remember you are loved by a God who not only calls youWANDER-ful (ha ha), he calls you worthy as well. So maybe this wasn't an artsy post about wandering into the forrest, but maybe it was a wake-up call - reminding you; God knows who you are, where you are, and what you are facing. Don't wander away from that.

Dear Jesus.
I first off want to say, thank you. Thank you for always being by my side and continuously showing me love + mercy. I pray you make your truths known to me. I pray you help me see the difference between my thoughts and set me back on the right track when I wander off. Help me to pursue you in ALL I do, and notice that you are always pursuing me as well.
